Facility Officer

About the role

The Facility Officer will ensure that Vertex Realty’s offices, residential properties and project facilities are maintained to the highest standards. You will coordinate maintenance activities, supervise service providers and support a safe, efficient working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect offices, residential units and project sites regularly to verify condition and compliance.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for building systems such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, generators and elevators.
• Monitor and manage contractors, technicians, cleaners, security staff and other service providers.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility‑related complaints.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, service schedules and asset conditions.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and building‑code compliance through routine safety checks.
• Oversee office space allocation, furniture arrangement and facility improvement projects.
• Track utility consumption and recommend cost‑saving measures.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, maintenance tools and other facility resources.
• Prepare periodic reports on facility performance and maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Facility Management, Estate Management, Engineering, Building Technology, Business Administration or related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in facility or property management, or building maintenance.
• Professional certification in Facility Management is an advantage.
• Strong organisational, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and documentation skills.
• High level of integrity, accountability and professionalism.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
