About the role

The Equipment Strategy Specialist will lead the development and execution of fixed equipment maintenance strategies for a high‑stakes oil and gas facility. This senior‑level position requires overseeing preventive, routine and emergency repairs while ensuring compliance with international design standards and safety criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies covering preventive, routine and emergency repair services.
• Provide materials engineering support and technical oversight to align activities with international codes and safety standards.
• Lead and mentor technical teams, fostering coordination and high performance.
• Manage the facility‑wide fixed equipment portfolio, ensuring documentation and compliance with engineering specifications.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional departments to resolve complex maintenance challenges.
• Communicate technical status reports, strategy updates and project progress to stakeholders in professional English.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 6‑10 years of experience in fixed equipment maintenance, materials engineering or asset integrity management within the oil and gas industry.
• In‑depth knowledge of design standards, industry codes and safety regulations for fixed equipment.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage heavy workloads with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
• Must be available to work onsite in Nigeria with no travel requirements.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (advanced proficiency for data analysis, reporting and maintenance planning).
• Preventive maintenance techniques for fixed equipment.
