Equipment & Logistics Lead – Port Harcourt

About the role

DAIIK Engineering Limited is seeking an experienced Equipment / Logistics Lead to oversee tool, machinery and fleet management for its projects in Port Harcourt. You will ensure seamless inventory control, maintenance scheduling and transportation of assets across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Track and maintain inventory databases for tools, machinery and site assets.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and repairs for operational equipment and fleet vehicles.
• Coordinate equipment allocation, check‑ins and check‑outs across project sites.
• Inspect tools and heavy machinery to verify compliance with safety standards.
• Plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments of materials and equipment.
• Optimize shipping routes to reduce costs and improve fuel efficiency.
• Monitor active transits in real time and resolve delays or disruptions.
• Negotiate rates and manage relationships with freight carriers, vendors and haulage providers.
• Generate and manage shipping documents, bills of lading, asset logs and manifests.
• Report operational metrics, asset discrepancies and performance logs to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• Professional certification such as CSCP or CLTD is an advantage.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Proven experience in logistics, warehouse management or fleet operations within oil & gas or construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of HSE requirements and regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Experience using specialized asset‑tracking software.
• Ability to analyse logistics data and generate performance reports.
