ELV Technician

About the role

The ELV Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Extra‑Low Voltage systems such as IP CCTV, access control, public address and fire alarm installations. The role works closely with engineers and clients to ensure all solutions meet specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out installation, configuration and testing of ELV systems, ensuring proper cable routing and device termination.
• Perform routine maintenance, diagnose faults and execute repairs or upgrades promptly.
• Support system testing and commissioning activities to verify performance against specifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, maintenance actions and service reports.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
• Prepare periodic reports on work progress, system performance and provide basic user training where required.

Required profile

• Diploma, OND/HND or BSc in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of hands‑on experience installing and maintaining ELV systems.
• Resident in Abuja and able to read technical drawings and installation instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and capacity to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to safety protocols.
