Driver (Supply Chain) – 3-Month Contract in Kano

About the role

The Driver will support the Supply Chain team by transporting staff, visitors, equipment and materials between the office and various locations in Kano. The role also includes maintaining vehicle records, ensuring safety compliance, and reporting any incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle log, fuel consumption records and keep the Vehicle Documents Folder up‑to‑date.
• Ensure all journeys are authorised, recorded in the log book and that keys and documents are stored securely.
• Drive SCI vehicles safely, obey speed limits, wear seat belts and ensure passengers do the same.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle checks, report defects and coordinate repairs with the line manager.
• Report accidents immediately, complete accident reports and liaise with police as required.
• Keep the vehicle clean inside and out, remove rubbish after each journey and follow visibility protocols.
• Assist in emergency response by preparing to support timely delivery of aid.

Required profile

• Hold a valid driver’s licence and any required permits at all times.
• Demonstrate accountability for vehicle management and record‑keeping.
• Commit to SCI values, personal development and collaborative teamwork.
