Dispatch Rider

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Dispatch Rider to pick up and deliver items such as meals, retail products, or documents across Port Harcourt and the wider Rivers State. The role involves timely deliveries, safe handling of packages, and direct interaction with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and deliver items to designated locations within strict time frames.
• Navigate local streets efficiently using GPS and knowledge of traffic patterns.
• Secure packages on the motorcycle to avoid damage or loss.
• Maintain daily logbooks, recording trips, mileage, and delivery status.
• Collect payments, issue receipts, and remit cash or POS transactions.
• Perform basic motorcycle maintenance, including checking tire pressure, oil levels, and brakes.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, speed limits, and safety standards, including holding a valid rider’s licence.
• Report accidents, damages, or delays promptly to supervisors.
• Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients.
• Communicate with dispatchers and customers to provide ETAs and resolve issues.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification: OND (Ordinary National Diploma).
• At least 12 months of experience in a similar dispatch or delivery role.

Required skills

• Proficient use of GPS navigation.
• Basic motorcycle maintenance knowledge.
