Data Engineer - Infrastructure (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Data Engineer focused on infrastructure to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for a global software and analytics leader. The position is fully remote and contract‑based, offering flexible hours and the chance to work with cutting‑edge data technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise data pipelines that ingest, transform and load data from diverse sources.
• Implement and maintain ETL/ELT processes supporting data warehousing and analytics initiatives.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency and security across all assets and systems.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues and drive efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and other stakeholders to deliver high‑quality data solutions.

Required profile

• Experience with SQL, Python or Scala for data‑engineering tasks.
• Proficiency with pipeline orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Spark.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and their data services.
• Familiarity with data modelling, warehousing concepts and schema design.
• Strong problem‑solving ability in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
