Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. You will work remotely, dedicating approximately 15 hours per week to strengthen the security of our software products.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, debug, and resolve software bugs and security vulnerabilities across multiple codebases.
• Implement and improve features using Python, Java, Rust, Go, C++, and TypeScript.
• Refactor existing code to enhance maintainability, security, reliability, and performance.
• Conduct codebase reviews, security audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments.
• Identify security risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to backend development and application performance optimization.

Required profile

• Strong experience with one or more of Python 3, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript.
• Proven track record debugging complex software systems and performing penetration testing, security audits, and vulnerability assessments.
• Experience with backend development, secure software development practices, and modern cybersecurity threats.
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and concisely.
