Credit Risk Portfolio Manager

About the role

CredPal is seeking an experienced Credit Risk Portfolio Manager to lead the performance, quality, and growth of its consumer and business loan portfolios. The role combines strong credit judgment, data‑driven decision‑making, and commercial thinking to ensure sustainable, profitable expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Own health and performance of consumer and business loan portfolios, balancing growth, approval rates, delinquency, loss rates and profitability.
• Develop and refine underwriting frameworks, scorecards, decision rules, credit limits and risk‑based pricing.
• Assess business borrowers using financial statements, cash‑flow analysis, sector risk and management quality.
• Establish early‑warning indicators, monitor delinquency, roll rates, defaults and work with collections to reduce losses.
• Lead fraud‑prevention strategies across onboarding, verification, loan applications and repayments.
• Produce portfolio dashboards and reports covering approval rates, vintage performance, PAR, NPLs, fraud and emerging risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Statistics or related field; postgraduate degree or professional certification is a plus.
• 4‑6 years of experience in credit risk, portfolio management, underwriting or lending within banking, fintech or financial services.
• Proven experience managing both consumer and business loan portfolios and deep knowledge of credit underwriting, risk segmentation and delinquency management.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment.
