Cook/Baker – Café Pastry & Breakfast Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cook/Baker to lead our café‑style pastry and breakfast production, ensuring high quality and consistency across all items.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of café pastries such as croissants, Danish pastries, cinnamon rolls, muffins and other treats.
• Produce breakfast and brunch dishes, wraps, sandwiches and light meals.
• Maintain consistency in taste, texture, presentation and portion sizes.
• Manage daily pastry production, kitchen preparation and timely order delivery.
• Monitor inventory, control ingredient usage and minimise food waste.
• Uphold excellent food hygiene and safety standards.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of practical experience in a café, bakery, patisserie or restaurant kitchen.
• Proven ability to make croissants and other laminated pastries from scratch, including dough preparation, lamination, proofing and baking.
• Strong skills in preparing English breakfast dishes, wraps and sandwiches.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain quality during busy service periods.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen operations.
• Creativity in pastry development and food presentation.
