Contract Manager – Marine Services

About the role

The Contract Manager will oversee the delivery of marine support services for Smit Lamnalco in Nigeria, ensuring contractual obligations are met and client satisfaction is maintained. This role combines operational oversight, financial monitoring, and stakeholder management.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure operations are performed efficiently, cost‑effectively, and in compliance with safety and company policies.
• Maintain strong working relationships with the client and ensure full satisfaction of contractual obligations.
• Conduct regular performance review meetings based on pre‑agreed parameters.
• Guarantee safe and secure execution of all activities, adhering to SLIMS, SHEQ, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate training and development for staff, and conduct annual performance appraisals for shore personnel, captains, and chief engineers.
• Provide input for annual budgets, prepare monthly/quarterly performance reports, and monitor financial performance to achieve contract budget targets.

Required profile

• Resident of Nigeria.
• Relevant marine operating experience, preferably sea‑going experience as Master, Chief Officer or Chief Engineer.
• In‑depth understanding of the marine industry and terminal operations.
• On‑shore management experience.
