Continental Chef – Port Harcourt

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Continental Chef to join our kitchen team at Kenex Konsults International in Port Harcourt. The role involves preparing high‑quality continental dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting daily menu planning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of continental dishes to a high standard.
• Develop and follow recipes while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
• Plan daily menus and assist with meal preparation.
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and kitchen hygiene.
• Monitor food stock and inform management when supplies are running low.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking equipment.
• Control food portions and minimize wastage.
• Work effectively with other kitchen staff.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
• Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Continental Chef (minimum 2 years).
• Good knowledge of continental cuisine and cooking techniques.
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Creativity and attention to detail.
• Relevant culinary training or certification is an added advantage.
