Content Marketer

About the role

FairMoney is seeking a creative, commercially minded Content Marketer to join its Brand & Marketing team. You will work closely with Product, Growth, Design, CRM, and Customer Experience teams to craft clear, concise, and user‑friendly copy for digital products and marketing channels, tailored to Nigerian audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Write engaging, user‑centered copy for the mobile app, website, CRM campaigns, social media, product interfaces and marketing materials.
• Translate complex financial products into simple, relatable messaging that builds trust.
• Create campaign concepts, headlines, taglines, scripts and calls‑to‑action that drive acquisition, engagement and retention.
• Adapt messaging for different customer segments while maintaining a consistent FairMoney tone of voice.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and execute high‑impact campaigns.
• Produce culturally relevant content reflecting Nigerian realities, language and everyday experiences.
• Edit and proofread copy to ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency and regulatory compliance.
• Support product launches, seasonal campaigns, employer branding, partnerships and customer education initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English or related field.
• 4+ years of professional copywriting experience, preferably in fintech or banking.
• Proven ability to write conversion‑focused copy across digital channels and understand its impact on acquisition, engagement, conversion and retention.
• Exceptional written English and strong editing, proofreading and storytelling skills.
• Deep understanding of Nigerian culture, local communication styles and fluency in English and Yoruba (ability to create original copy, not just translate).
