Commercial Director – FMCG Growth Leader

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Director to drive commercial growth across sales, marketing, distribution, and revenue management for a fast‑moving consumer goods business in Nigeria. The role requires strong market knowledge and a proven record of delivering revenue, market share and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial strategies that increase revenue, market share and profitability.
• Lead Sales, Marketing, Distribution, Customer Development and Trade Marketing activities across General Trade, Modern Trade, Wholesale, Key Accounts, E‑Commerce and Institutional channels.
• Build and manage relationships with distributors, retailers and strategic customers.
• Oversee pricing, promotions, trade investment and revenue management initiatives.
• Identify new market, product and channel opportunities and drive successful product launches.
• Monitor performance through KPIs, budgets, forecasts and market intelligence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive commercial experience, at least 5 years in a senior commercial, sales or marketing leadership role.
• Strong experience in the Nigerian FMCG market and route‑to‑market management.
• Proven record of delivering measurable revenue, sales and market‑share growth.
• Experience managing large teams and significant commercial budgets.
• Experience in Food, Beverage, Dairy, Confectionery, Household Care or Personal Care is an advantage.
