Civil Engineer – Infrastructure Development

About the role

The Civil Engineer will lead civil and infrastructure development for the site, ensuring projects meet technical specifications, safety, quality, and timeline requirements. This role supports the company's operational and strategic objectives by delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager and factory team to align project scope, technical specifications, and drawings with civil contractors.
• Prepare detailed engineering scopes, basic costing, and project budgets in line with Olam Capex governance.
• Ensure 100% compliance with Olam EHS, legal, and statutory requirements throughout design and execution.
• Manage civil/infra vendors, develop detailed project schedules, and conduct periodic reviews to track deliverables.
• Facilitate stakeholder management across Safety, Procurement, Finance, Process, and Engineering functions.
• Oversee project hand‑over, addressing snag lists and securing sign‑off for operations.
• Maintain complete documentation, including as‑built drawings and specifications, in both hard and soft formats.

Required profile

• Executive‑level civil engineering qualification.
• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in civil/infrastructure project delivery.
• Proven ability to manage large‑scale construction projects within budget and schedule.
• Strong understanding of EHS, legal, and statutory compliance for civil works.
• Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills.
