CCTV Operative – Security Surveillance

About the role

The CCTV Operative is responsible for monitoring, operating and managing the hotel’s closed‑circuit television and related electronic security systems. The role ensures the safety of guests, staff, assets and facilities by providing continuous surveillance, detecting suspicious activity and supporting incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor all CCTV cameras covering guest areas, entrances, parking, back‑of‑house facilities and other designated locations.
• Identify and report suspicious activities, unauthorized access, theft, vandalism and safety hazards.
• Support security patrols by guiding officers to incident locations using live footage.
• Monitor access control points, crowd movements during events and VIP movements.
• Detect security incidents, notify supervisors, and provide real‑time situational updates during emergencies.
• Ensure CCTV recordings are captured, stored securely and retrieved for investigations while maintaining chain of custody.
• Operate CCTV software, video management systems, digital recorders and alarm systems; report equipment faults promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs, prepare incident reports and submit daily surveillance summaries to the Security Supervisor.

Required profile

• National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Security Management, Computer Science, IT, Criminology, Public Administration or related field (SSCE with relevant experience may be considered).
• 2–3 years of experience operating CCTV systems in a hotel, corporate, security, mall, airport or similar environment.
• Experience in a luxury or internationally branded hotel is an advantage.
