Business Operations Partner

About the role

Flutterwave is a leading African fintech building a trusted payment infrastructure that enables borderless transactions. The Business Operations Partner will act as the primary accountability interface between the central BizOps function and assigned organizational units, ensuring effective governance, risk management and performance tracking.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the dedicated Business Operations partner for 2–3 units, building trusted relationships with senior leaders and enabling clarity and accountability.
• Create and manage structured governance forums and operating cadences such as MBRs, QBRs, executive reviews and leadership checkpoints.
• Track strategic initiatives across the portfolio, monitoring OKRs, milestones, dependencies, risks and key decisions.
• Configure and maintain executive dashboards that provide timely visibility into KPI performance, OKR progress and overall business health.
• Proactively identify execution risks, stalled decisions and missed commitments, escalating with clear recommendations.
• Partner with functional leaders during annual and quarterly planning to define objectives, resource requirements and business cases.
• Support enterprise prioritization by evaluating competing initiatives, analyzing trade‑offs and helping leadership sequence investments.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in strategy, business operations, management consulting, chief of staff or a similar high‑accountability role.
• Experience supporting senior functional leaders such as CFO, CPO, CTO, CHRO or CLO.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with data and metrics to assess functional health and support decision‑making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of producing executive‑ready materials under pressure.
• High professional maturity and discretion, comfortable navigating sensitive information.
• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and hold senior stakeholders accountable constructively.
• Structured thinker with strong attention to detail and follow‑through.
• Familiarity with OKR frameworks, MBR/QBR processes and executive governance models.
• Experience in fintech, payments or a regulated financial services environment is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent strongly preferred.
