Business Development & Sales Manager - Enterprise Infrastructure & Software
Naija Job Hunter · Lagos
Job description
About the role
CBC Infrastructure designs, supplies, deploys and maintains servers, storage and data-centre technology, while Gedu Technologies builds custom software, integrates systems and delivers cybersecurity for Nigerian banks. Both have strong technical teams and blue-chip delivery records, and they need a senior commercial leader to take that capability to many more clients. The role is on-site in Lagos, with client travel, and reports to the Group Co-CEO.
Key responsibilities
- Build a named target list of banks, fintechs, telcos, government agencies and enterprises, and open new accounts at CIO, CISO and head-of-infrastructure level.
- Sell the full portfolio: compute, storage, data-centre build and migration, maintenance contracts, custom software, system integration and cybersecurity services.
- Lead CBC's go-to-market for in-country data hosting and compliance-driven infrastructure, working with sister companies where a solution spans the group.
- Own the full sales cycle: discovery, solution shaping with engineers, proposals and tenders, pricing, negotiation and close, then hand over to delivery.
- Recruit, coach and lead business development executives, set their targets and run a weekly sales rhythm.
- Develop relationships with OEM partners (IBM, HPE and others) for joint selling, deal registration and leads.
- Keep an accurate pipeline, forecast honestly, report weekly numbers and protect margin and collections.
Required profile
- 8+ years in B2B technology sales or business development in Nigeria, selling infrastructure, data-centre, cloud, enterprise software or cybersecurity solutions.
- A record of deals personally originated and closed, including at least one of N50m (or US$ equivalent) or more in the last three years.
- 3+ years leading salespeople, with evidence of building or growing a team and lifting its results.
- An active network of decision-makers in banking/fintech and at least one other of telecoms, government or large enterprise.
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or IT, or an equivalent technical background, to lead a technical conversation with a CIO.
Required skills
- Proposal writing, tender and negotiation skills.
- Nice to have: experience selling data-centre, colocation, disaster-recovery or hosted infrastructure to regulated institutions; OEM selling; certifications such as ITIL, AWS/Azure, CCNA or security certifications; MBA or sales-leadership qualification.
What we offer
- Competitive base salary and uncapped commission on gross profit, with accelerators above target.
- Path to group-level commercial leadership for the strongest performer.
- Real responsibility: your own portfolio, your own number and the authority to build a team.
- Direct access to group leadership and to engineers across six companies, and cross-selling opportunities with sister companies.
