Business Development Manager - Telecommunications

About the role

An emerging Nigerian telecommunications and enterprise solutions provider is hiring a Business Development Manager in Cele-Egbe, Oshodi-Isolo, Lagos. The company offers A2P SMS, bulk messaging, USSD, SIP trunking, VoIP, UCaaS, toll-free numbers and enterprise connectivity, and is now expanding its corporate customer base. The role covers nationwide business development and reporting to the Business & Commercial Strategy Director.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new corporate clients, especially for A2P SMS and bulk SMS, and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Manage the full sales cycle and maintain a structured sales pipeline, working toward monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
• Build relationships with MNOs such as MTN, Airtel, Glo and 9mobile, and with the NCC and industry associations.
• Cross-sell and upsell services such as USSD, SIP trunking, VoIP, UCaaS and enterprise connectivity to existing clients.
• Prepare commercial proposals, present solutions and report regularly on pipeline, revenue forecasts and market intelligence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Telecommunications, Economics or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in business development, enterprise sales or commercial management.
• Mandatory previous experience in the telecommunications industry and in acquiring corporate clients; experience with MNOs such as MTN and Airtel is an advantage.
• Hybrid arrangement: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Required skills

• CRM platforms and sales pipeline tools, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good reporting, forecasting and analytical skills.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills.

What we offer

• Net monthly salary of N550,000 to N600,000.
