Business Development Intern

About the role

The Business Development Intern will join Care Cova’s fast‑growing team in Port Harcourt, supporting the expansion of its healthcare financing platform. Working on‑site, the intern will assist in identifying new partnership opportunities, generating leads and contributing to outreach campaigns across the health sector.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research on healthcare providers, competitors and industry trends.
• Prepare reports, presentations and updates for the sales and partnership pipelines.
• Support lead generation activities, including prospect identification and initial outreach.
• Coordinate follow‑up communications with potential partners and track interactions in the CRM.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to refine value propositions and improve onboarding processes.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Health Administration or a related field.
• Strong analytical ability and clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in lead generation, market research and partnership development.
• Customer‑service orientation with a proactive problem‑solving mindset.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Port Harcourt.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets).
• Experience using CRM or similar digital platforms to manage data.
