Billing Support Specialist

About the role

Weatherford is seeking an experienced Billing Support Specialist to join its team in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant processing of customer billing for products and services delivered by the company.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and within contractual timelines.
• Review field tickets, service reports, purchase orders, contracts and supporting documentation to ensure billing completeness and compliance.
• Validate pricing against customer agreements, rate schedules and approved quotations.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies by collaborating with operational, commercial teams and customers.
• Support month‑end and year‑end financial close by completing billing activities within deadlines.
• Monitor unbilled revenue and reduce billing backlogs through proactive follow‑up.
• Coordinate with Accounts Receivable to resolve invoice queries and support timely collections.
• Maintain accurate billing records in ERP systems and generate routine billing reports and KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 + years experience in billing, finance operations, accounts receivable or revenue administration.
• Previous experience in oil and gas, energy, manufacturing or engineering industries preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation and attention‑to‑detail skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups and data analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
