Bar/Lounge Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Bar/Lounge Supervisor to lead daily operations of our bar, lounge and kitchen at our Marina location in Port Harcourt. The role involves overseeing staff, ensuring service excellence, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the lounge, bar, kitchen and related service areas during assigned shifts.
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, appearance and performance to ensure professionalism and efficiency.
• Deliver excellent customer service and promptly resolve complaints or concerns.
• Support management in implementing operational policies, procedures and service standards.
• Track stock usage, report shortages, wastage, damages or irregularities.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, safety and proper maintenance of the premises at all times.
• Enforce staff discipline and maintain order within the workplace.
• Prepare detailed shift reports and escalate operational issues or incidents.
• Support revenue growth initiatives, customer engagement activities and promotional campaigns.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational guidelines and health & safety standards.

Required profile

• BSc degree.
• 2‑3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a bar, lounge, restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution capabilities.
• Good organisational and reporting skills.
• Customer‑service orientation with attention to detail.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude and flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays.

• Remuneration: NGN 120,000 per month.
