Baker – Full-time position in Lagos

About the role

We are looking for a skilled baker to join our team at D’xplorer Cakes and Catering Services Ltd in Lagos. The role involves preparing, baking and decorating a variety of bakery products to meet our quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, bake, decorate, and finish bakery products according to approved recipes and production standards.
• Accurately measure and combine ingredients to ensure consistent product quality.
• Operate and monitor ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor baking times, temperatures, appearance, texture, and overall product quality.
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and sanitation of workstations, equipment, and production areas.
• Store and handle ingredients properly to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.
• Monitor ingredient usage, minimize wastage, and report stock levels.
• Record daily production activities, ingredient usage, and output accurately.
• Identify and report equipment faults, production issues, or quality concerns promptly.
• Follow food safety, health, and workplace safety procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of bakery experience.
• Minimum of SSCE (Secondary School Certificate).

Required skills

• Operating ovens and bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Measuring and combining ingredients accurately.
