Audit Officer

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Audit Officer to join our head office in Surulere, Lagos. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with internal control procedures, monitoring stock and inventory movements, and supporting the company’s audit and risk management functions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine internal audits to verify compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Prepare accurate and timely audit reports, highlighting findings and recommendations.
• Verify and reconcile receivables, stock movements, supplies, and inventory records.
• Perform daily operational checks on goods received, stock transfers, deliveries, and supplies.
• Maintain proper documentation and electronic/manual audit records.
• Monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and minimise operational risks.
• Collaborate with Sales & Marketing, Accounts, Stores, and other departments to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen internal controls.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and operational information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in auditing, accounting, or internal control.
• Sound knowledge of auditing principles, accounting standards and internal control practices.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and investigative abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail, documentation and reporting skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
