About the role

This position leads the full fundraising cycle for Babban Gona, focusing on debt, equity, and grant capital that supports smallholder farmers in Northern Nigeria. You will own end‑to‑end processes, from opportunity identification to closing agreements, while ensuring investors and donors feel informed and valued.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and secure grant, debt, and equity opportunities, managing the process from proposal to signed agreement.
• Prepare high‑quality investment memoranda, information packages, and financial models that clearly articulate Babban Gona’s impact and financials.
• Coordinate due‑diligence activities, including data‑room setup, document requests, and liaison with internal teams.
• Maintain a live fundraising pipeline that provides real‑time visibility to leadership.
• Develop and execute stakeholder engagement processes to keep investors and donors informed and confident.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience at the intersection of finance, fundraising, and stakeholder relationship management.
• Proven ownership of capital‑raise or grant processes, not just supporting roles.
• Ability to manage multiple active processes simultaneously without missing deadlines.
• Strong written communication and proactive outreach skills.
• Passion for the mission of improving yields and incomes for smallholder farmers.
