Assistant, Program Delivery & Training for TaRL Africa

About the role

The Program Delivery & Training Assistant will support the implementation of Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) activities across assigned LGAs in Kaduna State. The role focuses on building teacher and mentor capacity, monitoring learning outcomes, and engaging communities to improve foundational literacy and numeracy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted coaching and quality assurance for teachers and mentors to enhance instructional effectiveness.
• Collect, monitor, and report learning outcome data to inform LGA‑level program adjustments.
• Support government education authorities in independently managing and monitoring TaRL activities.
• Document classroom successes and challenges to generate evidence for program refinement.
• Build strong relationships with parents, local leaders, and stakeholders to promote community ownership of learning.

Required profile

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences or related field.
• 2‑4 years of field‑based experience, preferably in education or community programmes.
• Strong project management abilities and willingness to travel within the state.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse stakeholder engagement.

Required skills

• Proficiency in local languages spoken in the region (preferred).
• Experience in teacher training, mentoring or capacity‑building roles.
