Assessor – Supplier & Contractor Audits (Oil & Gas)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assessor to lead supplier and contractor evaluations for our oil & gas operations in Port Harcourt. The role involves auditing against ISO standards and delivering actionable recommendations to enhance quality, environmental and safety performance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct supplier and contractor assessments, audits and evaluations across operational areas.
• Assess organisations against ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and other relevant standards.
• Review documentation, management systems, processes and operational records to identify non‑compliance and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare detailed assessment reports with findings, non‑conformities and recommendations.
• Participate in site visits, interviews, inspections and verification activities.
• Engage with suppliers and stakeholders to clarify findings and gather supporting evidence.
• Maintain accurate records while ensuring confidentiality and professional independence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Engineering, Sciences, Quality Management, HSE or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in oil & gas supplier assessment, auditing or quality management consultancy.
• Strong understanding of quality, environmental and occupational health & safety management systems.
• Excellent analytical, report writing and communication skills.
• High professional integrity, independence and attention to detail.

• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification.
