Architect

About the role

We are seeking a creative Architect to join House Of Faridah in Abuja. The role involves developing innovative design concepts and overseeing their implementation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, designs, layouts and detailed construction drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections and 3D models.
• Prepare renderings and presentation materials to communicate design intent to clients and stakeholders.
• Interpret client requirements and translate them into functional, innovative solutions.
• Conduct site visits, surveys and assessments to inform design development.
• Coordinate architectural designs with civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering requirements.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers and regulatory authorities.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, material selections and contractor submissions.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs and resolve design or technical issues.
• Assist with project planning, cost estimates, specifications and tender documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, planning regulations, safety standards and other statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Architecture; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
• At least 3 years (36 months) of relevant architectural design and project execution experience.
• Registration with ARCON and membership of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
