Project Manager - Renewable Energy Projects (Abuja)

About the role

eRecruiter is recruiting, on behalf of its client, a Project Manager based in Abuja. The client is a renewable energy company offering solar power solutions to urban and rural communities in Nigeria. The Project Manager oversees both internally owned projects (mini-grids, captive power assets) and client projects (EPC contracts), delivering them on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. The role requires strong multitasking and frequent travel to project sites across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee detailed project plans, defining milestones, allocating human and material resources and tracking progress with tools such as Gantt charts and MS Project
• Engage internal stakeholders to align project goals with organizational objectives
• Monitor budgets and expenditures, provide accurate financial reporting and ensure cost efficiency without compromising quality
• Identify and mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards and industry best practices
• Track performance against goals, prepare status reports and recommend improvements
• Work with technical teams so that project designs are accurate and feasible

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience; experience in energy projects is highly desirable
• Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering or a related field
• PMP or equivalent certification (mandatory)
• Strong organization, attention to detail, multitasking and communication skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project and Gantt charts
