Admission Officer

About the role

The Admission Officer will be the first point of contact for prospective parents and learners, providing accurate information about the school and guiding them through the admission process. This role involves managing applications, coordinating assessments, maintaining records, and supporting marketing initiatives to meet enrolment targets.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and respond to admission enquiries from prospective parents.
• Issue admission forms, check documents for completeness, and schedule entrance assessments and interviews.
• Maintain admission records, databases, and weekly/monthly admission reports.
• Coordinate admission offers, enrolment, and work with the Accounts Department on payment matters.
• Create and maintain learner files, ensuring confidentiality of family information.
• Support school marketing and admission campaigns, and assist during events involving prospective parents.
• Follow up with prospective parents to achieve agreed enrolment targets.
• Collaborate with teachers, management, finance, and other departments as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum HND or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Public Administration, Mass Communication, Marketing, Human Resources or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in school admissions, administration, customer service, sales/marketing or a related role.
• Previous experience in a private school and handling parent‑learner interactions is an advantage.
• Professional qualification in Admissions, Customer Service, Marketing or School Administration is a plus.
