Administrative & Accounts Officer

About the role

Alpha Mead Group, a total real estate solutions company, is seeking an Admin / Accounts Officer for its Port Harcourt site. The role combines administrative support with basic accounting functions to ensure smooth facility management operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day administrative support for the facility management site.
• Maintain accurate physical and electronic filing systems for operational and financial documents.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, meeting minutes and presentations as required.
• Coordinate staff attendance records, leave schedules and timesheets for payroll processing.
• Manage office supplies, consumables and stationery inventory.
• Process supplier invoices, raise purchase requisitions and monitor procurement documentation.
• Maintain petty‑cash records, perform regular reconciliations and prepare financial reports.
• Monitor budget utilisation, track site operational expenses and reconcile vendor statements.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and assist during internal and external audits.
• Liaise with vendors, contractors and client representatives on administrative matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in an administrative and accounting role.
• Previous experience in facility management, engineering services, construction, oil & gas or property management is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial record management.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
