Accounting Officer

About the role

Fisem Integrated Services, a provider of veterinary pharmaceutical production, laboratory diagnostics and farm consultancy, is looking for a dedicated Accounting Officer to support its financial operations. The role involves maintaining accurate records, processing transactions and ensuring compliance with internal procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
• Process invoices, payments and other financial transactions.
• Carry out bank and account reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports and maintain supporting documentation.
• Monitor inventory records and sales documentation.
• Verify transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Support payroll administration and statutory remittances.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient financial operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
• 2‑5 years of post‑NYSC experience in an accounting‑related role.
• Practical knowledge of at least one accounting software package.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• High level of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Current residence in Ibadan or willingness to relocate.
