Accountant – Retail & Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to manage financial records and reporting for our retail and manufacturing operations in Lagos. The role involves handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks, supporting budgeting, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, sales, and expenses.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management review.
• Handle bank reconciliations, deposits, and payment processing.
• Track inventory costs, sales income, and cash flow related to store operations.
• Support budget preparation, expense tracking, and cost control measures.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Liaise with auditors, vendors, and internal departments as required.
• Assist in payroll preparation and petty cash management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in retail or FMCG.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
