Accountant – Real Estate Finance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage financial records and reporting for our real‑estate projects in Abuja. The role involves handling day‑to‑day transactions, project budgets, payroll and tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate daily transaction records, project costs and estate cash flows.
• Monitor construction budgets and reconcile expenses with Quantity Surveyor certificates.
• Track client payment plans for housing units and process payments to vendors, contractors and suppliers.
• Prepare and file monthly tax returns (VAT, WHT, PAYE) in line with FIRS regulations.
• Oversee monthly staff payroll processing and manage pension remittances.
• Produce weekly cash‑flow updates, monthly bank reconciliations and quarterly financial reports.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of corporate accounting experience, preferably in real‑estate or construction.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA or ANAN) highly desirable or in progress.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity and ability to meet financial deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Sage or other ERP accounting systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
