Accountant

About the role

Coinbox Limited is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage financial reporting, budgeting and project accounting for its operations in the energy and utilities sector. The role involves preparing accurate financial statements, monitoring cash flow and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and management accounts.
• Maintain the general ledger, reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Assist in annual budgeting, financial forecasting and cost control, investigating variances.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, process invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Support project accounting by tracking project budgets, expenditures and profitability.
• Prepare and file statutory tax returns and liaise with auditors, tax consultants and regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Minimum five years of accounting experience, preferably in project‑based, engineering or renewable‑energy environments.
• Experience in project accounting, budgeting, cost tracking and financial reporting.
• Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA or ICAN are an advantage.
• Ability to work independently with strong analytical and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Experience using accounting software and financial management systems.
• Knowledge of taxation, budgeting and cash‑flow management.
