About the role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our finance team in Lagos. The role involves preparing, examining, and analysing accounting records, as well as managing assets, cash, payroll and financial reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in preparing, examining, and analysing accounting records and financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Appraise, evaluate, and maintain an inventory of company assets and asset register.
- Record, reconcile, and post petty cash and fuel imprest.
- Reconcile payments and receipts, confirm customer deposits, and issue receipts.
- Manage all accounting transactions and administer payrolls while controlling income and expenditure.
- Audit financial information and compile reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries, and financial statements.
- Perform any other related tasks as assigned.
Required profile
- HND or B.Sc degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a relevant accounting role.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Knowledge and competency in accounting principles.
