Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will be responsible for preparing accurate financial reports, managing day‑to‑day accounting operations and supporting strategic decision‑making. This position reports to senior management and works closely with auditors and tax consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and financial analyses.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Maintain proper accounting records and internal controls.
• Process payroll and other financial transactions.
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants and regulatory agencies.
• Monitor company expenses and recommend cost‑saving initiatives.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• ICAN qualification or current ICAN student status.
• At least 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Preferably 40 years of age or older.
• Resides in Ojodu Berger, Lagos or nearby communities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and accuracy.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
