Accountant – Full‑time in Lagos

About the role
We are looking for a diligent Accountant to join our team in Lagos. The role involves handling day‑to‑day financial transactions and supporting the finance department in a manufacturing and warehousing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Bookkeeping & record keeping: record daily sales, purchases, expenses and payroll using accounting software.
- Financial reporting: prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly Income Statements, Balance Sheets and Cash Flow Statements.
- Tax compliance: calculate taxes and prepare VAT, WHT and PAYE filings for timely submission to the tax authority.
- Reconciliations: match bank statements, supplier accounts and customer ledgers to ensure balances are correct.
- Budgeting & forecasting: assist in creating budgets and monitor actual spending against plans.
- Payroll processing: handle staff salaries, deductions and pension remittances.
Required profile
- Minimum qualification of an HND.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar accounting role.
