Accountant – Financial Reporting & Analysis

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Accountant to join our finance team in Lagos. You will be responsible for preparing and analysing financial statements, supporting budgeting processes and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with management and cross‑functional teams to improve financial efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial reports.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to management.
• Maintain accurate financial records in line with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes.
• Support tax return preparation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in audits and provide required documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years (48 months) relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
