Accountant – Financial Management

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our finance team in Port Harcourt. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting revenue tracking, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. This role offers the opportunity to work across hotel operations and corporate finance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain ledgers, accounting documentation, and daily revenue records for rooms, food & beverage, and events.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, process invoices, payments, and vendor reconciliations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Coordinate payroll processing and verify employee compensation records.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and manage cash flow records.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and provide performance analysis to management.

Required profile

• Minimum HND qualification.
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information.
