Accountant – Consumable Store Management

About the role

The Accountant will manage the consumable store for a fast‑growing entertainment and events business. You will ensure accurate stock handling, cost allocation and proper accounting treatment of all consumable movements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day consumable store operations, including receipt, storage, issue and documentation of materials.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts, reconcile with ERP records and investigate variances.
• Allocate consumable costs to the correct product, maintenance activity or job and classify purchases in the appropriate ledgers.
• Maintain clean data in the Odoo ERP system, process stock receipts/issues and support monthly closing.
• Produce monthly consumption, stock valuation and cost variance reports for management.

Required profile

• B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance or related field with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in inventory control, store accounting or cost accounting, preferably in rental, events or asset‑heavy environments.
• Professional accounting qualification or ongoing study (ICAN, ACCA, ANAN) is an advantage.

Required skills

• Odoo ERP (or similar) for inventory and accounting transactions.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel / spreadsheet skills.
• Inventory reconciliation and stock control techniques.
• Cost allocation and product costing methodology.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and ledger classification.
