Account Officer

About the role

We are looking for an Account Officer to manage daily financial records and support revenue, expense and payroll processes for our hospitality operations in Lagos. The role involves accurate bookkeeping, reconciliation and reporting to ensure financial integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate daily financial transactions across apartment bookings, restaurant, lounge, spa, laundry and other services.
• Reconcile revenue from bookings and payments with reservation/PMS records and monitor outstanding guest balances.
• Track and verify operational expenses, maintain an expense register and manage petty‑cash documentation.
• Assist in preparing monthly payroll schedules and maintain staff salary, allowance and deduction records.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial summaries and reports for management, highlighting variances and cash‑flow insights.
• Ensure compliance with financial procedures, support internal audits and strengthen controls around cash handling and revenue collection.

Required profile

• HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience; hospitality experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial record‑keeping.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Familiarity with Property Management System (PMS) platforms.
