Academy Lead (Learning & Development)

About the role

21st Century Technologies Limited is creating an internal Academy to provide a common baseline of knowledge for all new hires and later offer specialised training and external programmes. As the Academy Lead you will design the curriculum, set the operating model and grow the function from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a general onboarding curriculum that covers core business, products, inter‑departmental processes and practical office knowledge.
• Partner with department heads to create specialised training tracks and coordinate professional certifications, including sourcing external providers.
• Develop a culture framework, embed it into the curriculum and work with senior leadership to keep it current as the company scales.
• Build a business case and roadmap for opening select Academy programmes to external students and turn graduates into a recruitment pipeline.
• Own curriculum quality, delivery schedule and budget; track outcomes with evidence and scale a training team as needed.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of experience in learning and development, training, instructional design or a related people‑development function.
• Proven track record of building a curriculum or training programme from scratch.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills, comfortable working with senior leadership and multiple departments.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and create new functions without a fixed playbook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and a genuine interest in shaping company culture.
