Welding Inspector

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Welding Inspector to join our engineering team in Marina, Nigeria. The role involves overseeing welding activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑welding, in‑process, and post‑welding inspections, verifying joint fit‑up, electrode classification, and welding process.
• Monitor and inspect welding consumables, including storage and handling, and ensure welders are qualified per WPS and project requirements.
• Participate in quality meetings, kick‑off sessions, and toolbox talks, supporting QA/QC and project teams to achieve inspection milestones.
• Verify radiographic film interpretation (RTFI) when qualified and ensure weld repairs and post‑weld heat treatment (PWHT) are performed as specified.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes such as ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, API 1104, ISO 15614, and support tender documentation and other assignments.

Required profile

• B.Eng/B.Tech/HND or B.Sc in a science‑related discipline.
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a QA/QC inspector.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and Internet.
