About the role
The WASH Programme Manager will lead the planning, implementation and monitoring of water, sanitation and hygiene projects in Maiduguri, Borno State. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures that activities meet national, donor and organisational standards while integrating cross‑cutting themes such as protection, environment and public health.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in defining multi‑year WASH strategy and annual programming based on evidence and feedback.
- Contribute to situation analyses, needs assessments and the design of project proposals, including logical frameworks and budgets.
- Oversee project implementation, coordinating with MEAL, finance, HR, logistics and security teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
- Integrate environmental, protection and climate considerations into all project activities.
- Monitor project performance using SI tools, adjust plans as needed and ensure synergy across programmes.
- Identify and propose new project concepts, innovative approaches and potential partnerships.
Required profile
- National of Nigeria (Nationals Only).
- Proven experience in managing WASH programmes in humanitarian contexts.
- Strong understanding of donor requirements, national regulations and SI policies.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with multiple internal departments.
