Unix Administrator – Rancher Specialist

About the role

Vennote Technologies is looking for a highly skilled Unix System Administrator with deep expertise in SUSE Rancher to join our enterprise infrastructure team. You will manage Unix/Linux environments and drive container orchestration across production and non‑production clusters.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters using SUSE Rancher.
• Optimize multi‑cluster provisioning, upgrades, and day‑2 operations.
• Administer RHEL, Solaris, and Oracle Linux servers, both bare‑metal and virtualized.
• Lead technology refresh projects and perform OS patching, kernel tuning, and access control.
• Handle user account lifecycle, RBAC, and security policies in Linux and Rancher.
• Monitor performance metrics, server health, and Kubernetes cluster health.
• Execute backup and restore procedures, including Velero for Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with vendors (Red Hat, Oracle, SUSE) for root‑cause analysis and permanent fixes.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing enterprise Unix/Linux systems and container platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for both OS and Kubernetes environments.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
