Third-Party QA/QC Inspection Specialist (Subsea, Completions, Drilling, OCTG)

About the role

Kiwa PPI, a global leader in quality assurance and engineering services in the energy sector, is recruiting experienced QA/QC third-party inspectors to support major energy projects in Nigeria. You will act as a PPI Customer Representative, performing technical surveillance, witnessing testing and inspections, and ensuring compliance with international standards, quality plans and client expectations. The role covers subsea wellhead equipment, completions equipment, drilling equipment and oil country tubular goods (OCTG).

Key responsibilities

• Witness critical inspections, NDE, assembly and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) in line with ITPs, quality plans and industry standards.
• Verify that inspection, measurement and testing equipment is calibrated, certified and fit for use.
• Check that supplier personnel certifications are current and applicable to the task.
• Act as on-site PPI/Customer Representative, working professionally with suppliers on work execution, schedules and deliverables.
• Prepare accurate, timely surveillance reports on acceptance and rejection findings.
• Adhere to and promote HSSE standards and PPE requirements.
• Keep the PPI Coordinator and stakeholders informed on inspection progress and technical issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Level II NDT certification from a recognised body, or Level II NDT training meeting PPI's qualification practice.
• Understanding of third-party inspection, NDE, FAT testing and assembly.
• Hands-on knowledge of at least one discipline: subsea wellhead equipment, drilling and completion tools, or OCTG and premium connections.
• Working knowledge of API, ASNT, ASME, NACE/AMPP and DS-1 standards.
• Excellent written and spoken English; willingness to travel and work flexible hours or weekends.
• Preferred: 5+ years in oil and gas, 3-5 years in third-party inspection, AWS CWI or NACE CIP Level II.
