Technical Manager – Concrete & Aggregates

About the role

The Technical Manager – Concrete & Aggregates leads the quality, safety and optimisation of concrete production across HBM Nigeria’s plants, ensuring high‑performance mix designs and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage concrete quality procedures, analyse QC results and implement the quality manual.
• Lead health and safety compliance, conduct monthly site visits and champion safety actions.
• Optimize mix designs by selecting, characterising and validating raw material sources.
• Provide technical support to sales teams, assist on‑site and handle product‑related customer claims.
• Monitor raw material costs, maintain the mix‑design database and perform statistical analysis of ready‑mix concrete.
• Drive product development of value‑added products and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in senior management within ready‑mix concrete or related industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Chemical Engineering (MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus).
• Ability to travel nationwide as required.
