Structured Cabling & Fibre Installation Supervisor

About the role

The Structured Cabling and Fibre Installation Supervisor will lead the installation, testing and documentation of Cat6A copper and multimode fibre networks for commercial projects. This onsite role ensures high‑quality workmanship, safety compliance and accurate record‑keeping.

Key responsibilities

• Survey cable routes, containment and outlet locations; prepare cable, port and labeling schedules.
• Supervise installation, termination and patching of Cat6A copper and multimode fibre.
• Assign technicians, monitor progress, enforce workmanship standards and coordinate site activities.
• Ensure compliance with cable separation, bend‑radius, containment, grounding and fire‑stopping requirements.
• Oversee rack dressing, patch‑panel termination, labeling and safe handling of fibre and equipment.
• Certify copper links, test fibre optical loss, rectify defects and produce test reports and as‑built records.
• Support future cable repairs, moves, additions and changes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of structured cabling experience, including commercial installation supervision.
• Hands‑on experience with Cat6A copper and multimode fibre installation and termination.
• Proficiency with professional copper certification and fibre test equipment.
• Ability to supervise technicians, interpret drawings and maintain accurate installation records.
• Strong attention to labeling, rack organization, quality and site safety.
