Software Engineer

About the role

E-Konsult is seeking a senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade applications for the energy and utilities sector. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design system architecture, select technologies, and define component interactions.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code for frontend, backend, or full‑stack solutions.
• Develop automated unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests and debug issues.
• Collaborate with product, UX/UI, and stakeholder teams to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Monitor live applications, provide on‑call support, and ensure security and performance.
• Create technical documentation and operational guides for future maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 5–6 years of professional software development experience, preferably in energy, utilities, or enterprise software.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.

Required skills

• Java, Spring Boot, Java EE, JavaScript, and Object‑Oriented Programming.
• Development of enterprise web applications and RESTful APIs.
• MySQL, SQL/NoSQL databases, and API integrations.
• DevOps tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Single Sign‑On (SSO) and SaaS deployment experience.
• Familiarity with IoT, smart metering (AMI/MDMS) or power utility systems is a plus.
